£100,000 for Roe Valley Towns
Limavady Borough Council has successfully competed with 26 other councils to receive European Funding of £100,000 from Peace and Reconciliation Measure 2.11 and the Department of Social Development (DSD). Town Centre Manager, Sean Trainor was advised of the successful application at the end of November 2002. Mr Trainor stated that funding will go towards regenerating the Roe Valley towns. A strategic Action Plan will be drawn up to make full use of the money. The funding has been ear-marked for two key projects – promotion and marketing of the towns and enhancement of building façades and environment.
